She said after her conversation with the man who gave his name as Solomon, they agreed that he will come to Kumasi so the deal is finalized so the advert will be shot for his company.
However, on the day he [Solomon]set off from Accra to Kumasi he called in the middle of the Journey to ask that she gives him some money to settle some Policemen who he had crashed into.
Vivian who was convinced sent eight hundred cedis which was supposedly used to settle the Police Officers. However, the man called her after some minutes to ask for an extra one thousand cedis which according to Vivian, she did not give in to the man claimed he had called his cousin at the Police Headquarters to settle the issue.
She indicated that after several hours, the man called back asking for more money to pay a mechanic who claimed he was charging four hundred cedis for fixing the man’s water tank.
Vivian sensing something fishy insisted that she had no money on her and that the man should rather pick a cab and come to Kumasi where he can withdraw money and pay for all the expenses he has made.
She said the man called her when he got to Kumasi and has since not heard from the man.
She indicated that Maame Serwaa has also fallen into the trap and it took the stubbornness of the wife of Salinko to prevent him from also falling victim to the scammers.
