I Do Not Know How To Drive - Ghana's Most Beatiful

Akua, winner of TV3’s Ghana’s Most Beautiful reality show, has challenged assertions that she did not deserve to win.

“I am the winner and people are saying I don’t deserve it? I think I did my best.

I can please some people but I can’t please everybody, you understand? So I think I got what I deserve,” she said in an interaction with a section of media at TV3 where she and the runners-up were presented with their prize packages last Friday.

TV3 presented the winners with their prizes as promised, without the usual delay.

Twenty-three-year-old, Akua, born Salomey Amoakoa Mensah, was given a Kia car and cheque for GH¢7000.00 and souvenirs from sponsors including a one year supply of GTP wax prints and six-month supply of Voltic Mineral Water.

Volta Region representative, Enam and Akweley also received GH¢6000 and GH¢4000 for placing first and second runners-up respectively. They also received other supplies from sponsors.

Akua could not hide her joy at winning the pageant.

“The pageant has helped me in many ways. I have been thought how to speak in public, walk and behave in public.

I am so happy. We all came on the show with the purpose to win and it was my dream to win. So I am happy,” she added.

She said she was going to invest her GH¢7000 in a project of keeping children from the streets. She currently does not know how to drive but in due time, she said would learn how to.

At presentation ceremony were friends, family of the winners and other contestants, as well as officials of TV3.

CEO of TV3 Santokh Singh congratulated the girls for the performances they displayed during the contest and promised a more enhanced event next year.

He said the primary aim of the show was to get Ghanaians to appreciate their culture; hence TV3 would not falter in creating that impact to society.
