I Dumped Richie – Eazzy Reveals

Eazzy baby, Ghana’s hottest hip-hop and R&B artiste, has challenged Lynx Entertainment, a record label company belonging to hiplife artiste Richie Mensah, to tell the truth on why she left the company.

Lynx Entertainment on Wednesday issued a press statement which claimed that Eazzy was no longer under the company’s management and that it had agreed with her that she should henceforth be under the management of ace broadcaster and artiste manager, Kofi Otchere Darko aka KOD of Nineteen Fifty Seven fame.

“I am surprised about the statement from Lynx because the contents are not true. They have never agreed with me that KOD should be my manager. My contract with Lynx expired on April 8 this year and I did not want to renew it. I left Lynx and there was no arrangement that I would be handled by KOD.

“I am putting together a management team and KOD is one of the persons on my new team. Lynx only got to hear of KOD because I told them that he was putting together a program for my album launch at Rockstone’s Office on Friday April 27. I planned to announce my departure from Lynx during the album launch and to also tell who my new management team would be. I do not know why Lynx issued that untrue statement,” Eazzy explained to News-One.

Something seems to be going wrong with Lynx Entertainment as some key artistes under the company have left in recent times. Eazzy’s departure from Lynx follows that of Asem and OJ Black. Already, there are rumuors that Zigi is also on his way out.

Tonight at the Rockstone’s Office in Cantonments Accra, Eazzy will be launching the music video of her new single ‘Go Go Wind’ on which she featured Jupita, the new dancehall kid on the block.

Eazzy, whose real name is Mildred Ashong, entered the Ghanaian music industry in July 2009. One advantage Eazzy has over her contemporaries is her extraordinary ability to dance in addition to rapping and singing at the same time.

News-One’s checks revealed that after Mfantsiman, Eazzy attended the Institute of Professional Studies in Ghana and then continued at the Chartered Institute of Marketing in England.
