Social media was set ablaze last week when controversial Dancehall act Shatta Wale made certain statements that didn’t sit well with the entire Nigerian population. In his statement, the “Taking Over’ hit maker said he doesn’t see Nigerian darling boy Wizkid as a superstar.
As a result of this, social media was lit with massive trolling from Nigerians to dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale.
In light of the mishaps, Shatta Wale has released a number of songs standing his ground by defending his statements and cementing his claims. His recent tweet concerning the “beef” between himself and the entire Nigerian population, he was captured to written boldly “I Be Naija Boy”.
Comedy King DKB, who has being nominated for People’s celebrity comedian of the year, has expressed his disappointment at Shatta Wale for calling himself a Naija Boy. In a tweet the comedian said “So now @shattawalegh deny we Ghanaians to call himself a Naija boy? This is betrayal…I’m very disappointed”
Reaching out to the comedian for comments about his tweet, he told Fenuku Augustine blog “I am very disappointed at Shatta Wale for calling himself a Naija boy. This is not to say Nigerian is our enemy, but we are in the same ship fighting for the same things for our industry. It is not fair for him to call himself a Naija boy when Ghanaians were behind him after the incident. It is a stab in the back and I am very disappointed”
We are yet to hear from Shatta Wale on this particular issue.
So now @shattawalegh deny we Ghanaians to call himself a Naija boy?
