I am the future of African dancehall - Vybrant Faya

Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Vybrant Faya, although very young in the music industry, has declared himself as the future of the genre in Africa.

Speaking in an interview with ‘Red Carpet’ on Multi-TV, the ‘Mampi’ hit maker explained that he is the realest dancehall act in Africa at the moment.

According to him, although he respects every artiste in that genre, he cannot rate them above him but added that he represents the future of dancehall.

“I am the dancehall artiste, even though I love all the other artistes, I can’t rate anyone more than me but I’m still the number one and future of Africa,” he said.

Vibrant Faya, born Emmanuel Kojo Quayson, rose to the limelight last year when the Shatta Movement Family made claims on various media platforms that dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale betrayed the group.

According to them, Shatta Wale registered his Shatta Movement for Life (SM For Life) at the Copyright Office without their consent after he left the group.

He then released his song, ‘Mampi’, which has and continues to enjoy massive airplay across the country.
