I charge GHc10,000 for musical performance - Eze

Eze Eze

Nigerian-born musician, EZE, who has been in the Ghanaian music industry for over 13 years now, has revealed to a section of the media that his minimum charge for a musical performance is GHc10,000.

Speaking to the media present at dancehall artist Jupiter’s “Enemies Tour”, he explained that one of the reasons why his fans don’t see him perform much in Ghana compared to other countries is because most event organizers can’t pay for his performance.

The musician, who put up a fantastic performance and performed 10 songs with his Afro fusion band as the open act, explained that most event organizers don’t have the support required to make the life of musicians better.

“In Ghana, if you are not part of the top 5 five headline musicians or A-List musicians, it becomes difficult for event organizers to determine your value - so the best thing for some of us is to stay till we get those who can pay for what we deserve” he said.

As to how much he charges for musical performance , he said that “the minimum amount I take is 10,000”

Speaking about his performance which won him much applause from the crowds and patrons of the show, he said, “My first time performing for the people of Korle-Gorno with Afro Fusion band and I’m proud we were the first and one of the most talked about performances of the night. It will encourage us to do more” he added.

Currently, the Nigerian born Ghanaian musician is among A-list artists such as: Tinny, Samini, Shatta Wale, Eze, Trigmatic, Kesse, Kwaw Kesse, and others who are part of Jupitar’s first truly national tour.
