In a heartbreaking update on the death of gospel artiste Jacob Yaw Mawuko Adjola, a suicide note he left behind has surfaced on social media, revealing the pain, depression, and struggles he had been silently enduring.

In the note, which popped up following his untimely death, Jacob expressed overwhelming feelings of failure and despair, disclosing that he had been battling ‘demons’ since 2022.

The note, filled with raw emotion, illuminated his internal turmoil, struggles with illness, and the sense of unworthiness that had consumed him.

Jacob wrote, “Thank you for pushing to fend, but I chose to return to my maker as soon as possible. I HAD TO DO IT BECAUSE I DIDN’T DESERVE TO LIVE. I FAILED WOEFULLY AND NOTHING CAN SOLVE ANY OTHER MISTAKE.”

He further confessed, "I’ve been a dead man since 2022, and I have struggled my way through… but as I gave my best worship in songs to the Lord, I knew it was time to EXIT.”

His final words to his church family, friends, and fellow musicians disclosed the depth of his internal suffering.

Despite being known for his powerful worship songs, Jacob was clearly grappling with an immense sense of failure.

In the note, he expressed remorse and asked for forgiveness from those who loved and supported him.

“Thank you, family, PLEASE FORGIVE ME! I FAILED! I have disappointed all of you and I can’t defend my acts,” Jacob lamented.
