Legendary Highlife musician, C.K. Mann, has revealed that he would love to do a nice song for President John Mahama, but he could not do so because he is really sick.
He said this when Mr. Beautiful, a popular actor, on behalf of the President of Ghana visited him.
Mr. Beautiful, the project coordinator, is embarking on a presidential project dubbed "Celebrities for Mahama" which seeks to better the welfare of Ghanaian veterans in the creative arts sector.
President Mahama decided to help veterans who are financially and medically handicapped such as C.K. Mann, J.A. Adofo, Kohwe, Paapa Yankson, Awurama Badu etc.
C.K. Mann, the ace musician, received an amount of GHC5000 together with other assorted items from President Mahama, which was presented by Mr. Beautiful.
In C. K. Mann's acceptance speech, he stated that he was very grateful to the president for his kind gesture, and he stressed that he would have loved to do a song for him. However, his prolonged sickness would prevent him from doing that.
In an exclusive interview with Kyzz 89.7 FM on their weekly entertainment review programme yesterday, which was hosted by Asaasewura Santana Jr., C. K. Mann said, "It saddens me that I'm sick; for I would have composed a song for him which would please him. But today differs from the past... In fact, he has done extremely well."
That was the heartwarming pronouncement of C. K. Mann in his reaction to President Mahama's philanthropic move towards him.
