Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Doyin David, has shared her candid views on marriage and love during a recent interview with Olufemi Daniel.

For her, companionship is paramount, and she values her partner's presence above all else.

However, she explained that "I date for companionship, not necessarily with marriage in mind."

While acknowledging that intimacy is a natural part of relationships, Doyin emphasised that her primary motivation for dating is not centered around physical intimacy.

Doyin expressed openness to long-term relationships, whether or not they result in formal marriage.

She believes that genuine connection and friendship form the foundation of a lasting bond.

Her goal is to find a lifelong partner with whom she can share meaningful experiences, regardless of whether they choose to formalize their relationship through marriage.

She elaborated, "Sex is part of companionship, isn't it? But it's not the primary reason I date. I seek companionship, not just marriage. If it doesn't lead to marriage, that's okay; we enjoyed our time together. But if it does, then great—I'm open to a lifelong partnership even if marriage isn't on the cards."

"For me, marriage isn't just about signing papers. I'm not undermining legal marriage, but companionship holds more importance. I want a lifelong companion, whether we're legally married or not. I simply desire to have someone who will be my partner for life."
