Actress cum musician Kisa Gbekle has debunk rumours going on that she made away with her weave-ons and went in for a short hair because she was broke.

“it is true people might think that I changed my looks because I could not maintain it since it is assumed that it takes a lot of money to purchase all those brazilin and Peruvian hairs we have on. But the truth is, I did it because I just want to be free.

“You know that feeling and vibe of waking up one day and you all happy and you want to try something else. Something that makes you feel wild and free,” she said in an interview with livefmghana.com.

According to the Accra Runs actress, she is someone who does what she is comfortable with, without being influenced by anyone or anything; anything that will breathe life into her and make her happy is what she goes in for.

“I just love to follow my heart and go with what my mind tells me and what it is comfortable with but in all, I just wanted to change my looks and be free,” she said.

“It could have been true that I cut my hair because I am broke if I always had my hair down but in a case where I just want to try something new, not having money cannot be the reason. Plus it equally cost me money to cut it, apply chemicals and even maintain this new look.”

Commenting on her music career, Kisa assured her fans that she is still into music and that, she is cooking something new which would soon hit the air waves.

Movies Kisa has featured in include 8PM, The Will, Accra Hustler and The Miser TV series.

Kisa started acting in secondary school in various stage dramas and according to her, she always came out as the best actress in such school programmes.

Upon completion, she joined the Volta Regional Theatre group and gradually learned the ropes of the profession. From there, she enrolled into Ghallywood Academy and completed as one of the overall best students.
