Contrary to traditions that whoever wins the Artiste Of The Year award at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) gets nominated at the Black Entertainment Television awards (BET), Multiple award-winning Ghanaian rapper and producer, EL has said it did not happen for him because he was not on good terms with those who could ensure that he got nominated.

Known in real life as Elorm Adablah, EL told Prince Benjamin on Class91.3FM’s Class Drive that: “I haven’t got a BET award because I had a few issues with some people, who, you have to go and see to get a BET award. They didn’t like me very much, so, I didn’t get a BET award.”

EL was speaking about his latest album in the five-year Bar series titled ‘Bar5’ or ‘BVR’.

Known for songs such as "Obuu Mo", "Kaalu” among others, EL picked up five awards at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) 2016, including the Artiste Of The Year award as well as awards at the 2015 VGMAs.
