Life coach John Amponsah has backed the idea of men helping their wives with household chores but emphasised that there should be boundaries when it comes to certain tasks.
In an interview on GH One TV shared on X on November 29, 2024, he explained that while he has no issue washing his wife's laundry, particularly underwear, he would draw the line at hanging it out to dry.
"I can wash for you, but if you can't walk and hang them yourself, I would have a problem with it. You have to protect your image and be careful with certain things. I won't hang it because I have to protect my image," he stated.
He also advised women who receive such support from their husbands not to share such details with others.
"A woman who goes out and tells people her husband is washing her panties is disrespecting herself. I can help but don't create the impression that your man is foolish. It should be kept private."
He also asked men to take up provision roles to avoid turning themselves into "slaves" in their homes.
"Also, it should be based on circumstances. For example, if your wife goes to work and you, as a husband, wait for her to come before you eat, you are turning yourself into a slave," he concluded.
