Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale known in real life as Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr. has debunked claims he cannot perform with a live band.
According to him, he can perform brilliantly with a band but usually does not do that because people will compare him to his dancehall colleague, Samini.
“I did not want to play live band because I knew people will compare me to Samini, but I believe my performance was good”, he explained in an exclusive interview on the Cruise Control show on Hitz Fm.
Shatta Wale made the comment while reacting to claims that he flopped during his performance at the recently held GN Bank awards at the Accra International Conference Centre.
Conceding that he had challenges because he is not used to playing with a live band, the 30-year-old musician said the time allotted to him was short.
This notwithstanding, the controversial artiste noted that he is ever ready to collaborate with dancehall artiste Samini because he has no beef with the High Grade Family.
Also to prove that he has no grudges against them, Shatta revealed that he will soon host an event at the Dancestardom, a pub in Sakaman which belongs to Samini.
“I’m always ready to collaborate with Samini, I will definitely have a party at Dancestardom one these days”, he added.
