Kumawood actor, Michael Afrane, has expressed his unwavering support for the newly sworn-in president, John Dramani Mahama.

He said this as Mahama was inaugurated on January 7, 2024, exactly one month after he was overwhelmingly elected in the December 2024 election.

Afrane, known for his passionate advocacies, described Mahama as "God-sent" and pointed out the significance of his return to the presidency.

"He is the one who has supposedly carried the sword for the third time. Mahama is God-sent. Some people said he can't be president again. Some people said they have banned him from the Flagstaff House. They said a lot of things, but God has shown himself. Now, His Excellency John Mahama is the President of the Republic of Ghana," Afrane declared.

Afrane voiced his expectations for Mahama's leadership, particularly in addressing the challenges left by the previous administration.

"I expect him to reset Ghana as he said. Because where the NPP government has brought the country, he (Mahama) is the one who can save Ghana. So, we are praying for him that God should give him the strength, the boldness, and the wisdom to rule this country," he added.

The actor also expressed optimism about the future of the entertainment industry under Mahama's presidency.

"Yes, we have discussed so many things already and I know that under His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, the industry will be back," Afrane concluded.

The inauguration ceremony, held at Black Star Square, was a momentous occasion, with citizens and dignitaries alike from across the globe joining to celebrate the beginning of President John Dramani Mahama's term.
