The one time Vodafone artiste of the year winner Shatta Wale has revealed in an interview with Rodney on Top Afric Radio in Germany that he is not afraid of competition.
“I am not scared when I see people coming up, I rather wish them the best of luck and it is my prayer that, they see the business aspect of the music they are doing. The thing is, as an artiste, you will loose focus if you should be thinking of other artistes, just do what the people love and you are good to go,” he said.
“I believe that in life there is a fade out time for everyone and everything. Just like a green grass will not remain green forever, it will wither someday, so is life. Whatever you do, you will grow old someday and when you accept these facts, some things will not even bother you,” he added.
Shatta Wale also urged other artistes to be happy for the new ones coming up instead of seeing them as competitors.
“When you see other generations coming up, you don’t have to hate, you need to be happy that you have set a trend for someone to follow but if you are so much into competition then you do not understand nature,” he said.
Shatta Wale born Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr. is currently on tour in Europe.
