Somewhere 2017, we published that actress Roselyn Ngissah swerved a couple of Kumawood producers based on the fact that such producers don’t pay their casts (actors and actresses) well.

Although many failed to believe in her assertion then until Prince David Osei in a recent interview with Accra-based Hitz FM shared his worst encounter in the hands of one Kumawood producer.

According to the aforementioned actor, his worst encounter was when a popular Kumawood producer tried every possible means to offer him GH¢2,000 for a movie role.

But, the actor known for his ‘Loverboy’ roles in movies said he had to immediately cut off the call on the producer because that amount was out of range from what he usually charges for roles in Glamour movies.

“A Kumawood movie producer discussed how the their movies kept going down. He wanted to give me GH¢ 2,000 for a role. He was begging me to take that amount but I told him to look for someone who will take that amount. The producer kept pushing so I had to cut the call. I charge GH¢10k for English Movies so that amount was next to nothing to me.

Prince David Osei joined the Ghana music industry popularly called Ghallywood in 2005 and came to limelight after starring in the block buster movie “Fortune Island”.
