Actress and Producer Yvonne Okoro has added her voice to concerns by fellow Actress Juliet Ibrahim on the need for changes in the organization of the Ghana Movie Awards.

Appearing as a special guest on 360Live on Live FM, she told host Giovani Caleb she has decided not to partake in the awards scheme until the said issues are resolved.

“I’m not a part of Ghana Movie Awards. I have issues with how it is organized. I choose not to partake in it, I’m not going to submit any of my movies again,” she said.

“I made my grievances clear to him, and I told him unless he does something I will not be a part of it. He doesn’t take criticism. Some of my people have accepted it so he feels its okay.”

Ghana Movie Awards will take place at the Accra International Conference Center on December 30.

It was instituted by Fred Nuamah to recognize excellence by honouring achievements of actors, writers, directors, producers, technicians and other personalities in the filmmaking industry of Africa.

Okoro’s new movie ‘Ghana Must Go’ will premiere on January 2, 2016 at the SilverBird Cinemas.
