I have no beef with Ohemaa Mercy - Selina Boateng

Selina Boateng has debunked widely speculated rumour that most Ghanaian female gospel musicians do not see eye to eye.

The Cebex Production artiste during her recent interview with Nana Romeo on Accra FM exposed the hollowness in the tittle-tattle that there is division among female gospel artistes, which has hindered them from working together.

According to her, there is no ‘squad’ among female gospel musicians in the country which projects don’t-talk-to-this-female-artiste agenda. She continued that she has a good relationship with all female musicians in Ghana.

“I don’t have any problem with anybody in the industry. I don’t join any squad if there is such”

When Nana Romeo, host of Accra FM’s drive time show, Nkran Kwanso asked if she has a problem with renowned female gospel musicians, Ohemaa Mercy and Obaapa Christy, Selina Boateng answered “please no”.

She added that “beef is beef, you brush out, and you go your way. So long as we are all human beings, someone will by all means fault for it to hurt you which will make you talk against it but if it happens that way, you become free then you go your way. I can say there is no problem.”

She named Uncle Ato as her favourite gospel artiste at the moment because he is a worshiper.

“I’ve a lot of favourite gospel artistes but I love Uncle Ato a lot because he is a worshiper and I love people who worship God a lot. All the gospel artistes are my favourite but the one I love most currently is Uncle Ato because of his worship but if you want me to name the others, the list is long.”
