Ghanaian politician and entertainment entrepreneur, Baba Sadiq, has publicly stated that he has no regrets about his conduct or remarks concerning Reggae/Dancehall musician Stonebwoy.
He believes that the full extent of the lessons from his dispute with Stonebwoy will only become clear once the matter is resolved.
This statement follows Stonebwoy's absence at the 3Music SallahFest in April 2024, even though he was announced as a headline act alongside rival dancehall artiste Shatta Wale.
In an interview on Joy Prime on June 12, 2024, Baba Sadiq said he stands by his words and actions without remorse.
"I don't have regrets about anything; I just learn lessons. I don't think there have been any interesting lessons for now. But it's still a process. We have to get to a particular end before we look back and reflect on things," he said.
Background
Baba Sadiq Abdulai Abu, owner of 3Music, explained that after the event, Stonebwoy's manager expressed discontent with the addition of Shatta Wale to the concert lineup, which was a significant factor in the musician's decision not to attend.
Sadiq had leveled serious accusations against Stonebwoy, branding him a "two-faced hypocrite" and alleging disrespect towards his wife.
He went further to claim that Stonebwoy's public image was misleading, accusing him of being privately unpleasant and arrogant, as well as a "violent abuser of women."
In retaliation, Stonebwoy has filed a defamation lawsuit against Sadiq, demanding GHS 3 million in damages.
