Award winning playwright, Uncle Ebo Whyte who is the CEO of Roverman Productions has explained why he does not use mobile phone.
Interestingly, he said mobile phones are meant to be used by the elderly. But at age 64, Ebo Whyte still sees himself too young to use the telecommunication device.
As a celebrated playwright, Uncle Ebo Whyte has to his credit over 20 plays which includes (Unhappy wives Confused husbands, Women on fire, Forbidden and Bananas & Groundnuts)
In an interview on Accra-based Onua 95.1 FM’s entertainment talk show Anigye Mmre hosted by award winning Christian Agyei Frimpong, Uncle Ebo Whyte admitted he was one of the first customers of Mobitel Ghana in the early 90s, but in the year 2000 he decided to drop his mobile phone and he hasn’t gone back to it.
Uncle Ebo Whyte conceded that “mobile phones can really disturb, I have a fixed telephone line at home, in the office but I have a particular time I answer calls on my fixed telephone lines and I think mobile phone is for the elderly”.
The motivational speaker having produced theater dramas for the past 10 years took a role in a one-man show dubbed ‘A Crazy Ride’ last weekend and patrons we shocked to see a great performance from Uncle Ebo Whyte himself.
