One of the pioneers of Kumawood movies, William Asamoah Addo popularly called Bill Asamoah has disclosed that he did not get life on a silver platter growing up .

“I grew up in Ash Town a notable area for crime but never had the opportunity to grow up with my biological parents. I don’t want to go into my childhood days because it was not quite easy for me. I suffered very much and continue to suffer till date”, he revealed during the Celebrity Ride.

According to him, his journey to acting started when he was running errands for renowned actors at the time including Emmanuel Armah, Kofi Adjorlolo among others.

He disclosed that he has been in the industry for about 15 years but observed that technology has improved the movie industry coupled with matured acting from players in the industry.

Bill Asaomah however observed that a few lapses are being encountered in the industry following the haste by movie makers to release their productions faster without recourse of audience appeal.

“The movies you produce must stand the test of time so that viewers will want to watch them over and over again. Some of us are still behind times and we need to learn from our flaws and improve on the situation or whatever we do”, he advised.
