The Chief Executive Officer of Kumawood Multimedia, Samuel Darko also known as Samdakcus, has refuted allegations peddling around that he had endorsed President John Dramani Mahama candidature ahead of the November polls.

The speculations emerged after the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Elizabeth Ofosu Agyare, months ago met some movie makers at Joffel Restaurant and Catering House at Airport Roundabout in Kumasi to brief them on measures the government is putting in place to shape the industry.

After the said meeting, rumours started flying that personalities like Michael Kwaku Ola, FIPAG PRO and Welfare, Mr. Samuel Kwabena Darko, the CEO of Kumawood, Mercy Asiedu among others had purportedly endorsed President John Mahama and would be part of the presidential campaign trail.

But Samuel Darko on Ashh fm Entertainment Zone with Nana Amoako said he had not made any such endorsement.

“As an actor, director and producer, my work cuts across, l serve everybody through my works’ ‘he said.

Samdakcus further rubbished another allegation that the actors and actresses boycotted the 2015 awards because he has joined the Ashanti Faithful for Mahama.

He therefore, entreated fans and followers of KAFF Awards not to pay attention to anyone with such unjustified information.
