Ghanaian actress Benedicta Gafah has addressed rumours about undergoing liposuction, clarifying that her toned body stature is not the result of plastic surgery.

Recently, there have been speculations about Benedicta's notably trimmed waist and flat tummy, despite her lack of a regular workout routine.

Netizens have included her among celebrities rumoured to have altered their bodies due to her 'banging body' which she often flaunts on social media.

However, in response, Benedicta has explained the real reason behind her ‘picture perfect’ figure.

She has claimed that her slim appearance and flat tummy are due to an eating disorder.

According to her, she struggles with the condition which significantly reduces her appetite and results in a flat stomach.

Describing her condition, she shared, “My flat tummy is because I don’t eat and not because of liposuction. My body is due to genetics. I don't feel hungry at all and even when I do, the moment I take water, I get full. Even when I try to eat, I take one or two spoons and I am full,” she stated in an Instagram live video.

Benedicta also mentioned that her doctor has recommended food supplements to help her manage her eating disorder.

However, she is hesitant to use them due to concerns that she might gain weight.

“My doctor always tells me I need some supplements to be able to eat but I get scared of taking supplements because I fear I might add weight,” she retorted.

She also disclosed battling Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), a long-lasting disorder in which a person experiences uncontrollable and recurring thoughts (obsessions), and engages in repetitive behaviors (compulsions).
