I impart knowledge for free - Majid Michel

Award-winning actor, Majid Michel, made some very interesting and profound remarks when he was hosted by Nii Kpakpo Thompson on the Tonight Show last Friday on Viasat1.

Majid revealed that at a point in his life, he was impressed to impact knowledge to people. The death of the famed Preacher, Myles Munroe was the ‘rebirth’ of a man who lived thousands of miles away from the Bahamas.

Majid Michel, who for some reasons never heard of the famed Pastor until his death few years ago, was all the inspiration he needed to begin a search. The search took him through thousands of hours listening to tapes, many nights invested in studying the Bible, several days volunteered to speak at churches, schools, youth programs and finally spent an amazing hour on the best satire and talk show in Ghana, Tonight with Nii Kpakpo Thompson.

“I do a lot of speaking engagements on specific issues such as leadership, religion, marriage, family. Usually, I do them at churches, not only churches; youth programs, I spoke recently at GIMPA and Ashesi University.

It is just a revelation that came to me, and I realised that the people must know some of these things…. People were very much interested in the topics I spoke about and started inviting me to places,” the multiple award-winning actor disclosed.

Asked how he balances acting with his numerous speaking engagements, Majid explained that impacting knowledge is his passion and he usually speaks for free but maintained that he loved acting and has no intention of ever retiring.

“I do not get paid for talking. I talk for free and it’s just the passion. I impact knowledge for free. I don’t think you retire from your gift. You never retire.

Retirement is something created by man just to throw you off your job. But if you find your passion, purpose, gift, you never retire till the day you die. After you become weak physically, you just start impacting it on the next generation and teaching them how to do it. God didn’t give you gifts to bring back to him,” the actor cum preacher masterfully explained.

Also on the show last Friday was beautiful presenter, Chantelle Asante who is also the producer of the award-winning show, Celebrity Fanzone. Chantelle shared her experience producing some of the best TV shows in Ghana.

“TV production is something I’ve always wanted to do from childhood… In a nutshell, I will just say that I am living my dream doing something I always wanted to do.” Chantelle stated. Tonight airs on Viasat1 every Friday at 9pm.
