Contemporary Highlife musician, Kofi Nti has revealed the secret that led to him breaking ranks with ace musician Ofori Amponsah in 2007, saying he felt betrayed by the latter.

Kofi Nti was in partnership with fellow artists such as Ofori Amponsah, Kofi Nti, Barosky and Richie Richie, who churned out very good songs over the years.

The ‘Rakia’ hit singer told Afia Schwarzenegger on Aben Wo Ha on Kasapa FM Monday that they were astounded when Ofori Amponsah featured dancehall singer, Samini on his song ‘Odwo’ and left them wondering what must have gone wrong.

According to him, that singular move broke the trust among them leading to Barosky going solo and the others followed suit.

“We had no issue with anyone until Ofori went the extreme to collaborate with Samini, so separately we were enthused also to go solo that caused the break up in the camp.”

Though going solo after a break out in a group becomes difficult for most musicians, Kofi Nti was not bothered about such challenges but came out with many hits songs that received massive air play.

The ladies man is out with a new song titled ‘Attention’ which features Afriyie Wutah and The fante rap god Kofi Kinaata.

The song was produced by sound engineer Nero Steger of Brovo 1 Mixes at Dome. The song is to be released today Tuesday, November 10.
