Highlife artiste, George Kwabena Adu known publicly as Kwabena Kwabena says he will still use his brand to push the agenda of NPP’s flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo ahead of this year’s general election.

The “Asor” singer on Kessben FM in Kumasi told DJ Roar, host of “Entertainment Circles” that “what made me campaign for him (in 2012) has not changed so my position to follow him this year has not changed”.

According to Kwabena, he is campaigning for NPP to win the election to develop Ghana to the standard of Malaysia.

He disclosed that he does not support a political party for money reasons but for the love he has for the country.

“I love this country and its my prayer that this country develops and compete with a country like Malaysia which it started life together with. Its all about developing this nation but its not like somebody needs to approach me before I wake up to follow him on a campaign tour.

I support a person I think can develop the country so that the next generation can benefit from my works I’m doing today.

I do not sing for a political party because of money. I don’t do that job as a musician. When it comes to politics, I need not to wait for someone to pay me before I take right decisions for my country.”

Kwabena Kwabena, who has been an ardent supporter of the NPP flagbearer since 1998 released a campaign song to support Nana Addo’s 2008 campaign and collaborated with Daddy Lumba to release a song for NPP’s 2012 election campaign.
