“I’m doing great and back home” - Kwaw Kese celebrates release

He has been released and granted his freedom after he served his court mandated sentence of one day at the Kumasi Central prisons over a narcotic charge.

The famous hiplife singer was jailed Thursday having been convicted of smoking marijuana in public in November last year in Kumasi.

The judge William Boampong also fined him Gh¢ 1,200 of which he paid outright.

“The Man Insane” spent over a month on remand for smoking in public at the Kumasi Central Prison and spent a few days at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital after he was taken ill due to poor conditions at the Kumasi Central Prisons.

Ahead of his sentence, he has been on bail since December 30, 2014.

The rapper upon his return tweeted early Friday morning;
