Self-acclaimed Dancehall king Shatta Wale has come out to say that, he is not a controversial person as people have tagged him to be.

He said this in a one-on-one interview with Bola Ray and Anita Erskine on Starr 103.5 Fm.

“I am not controversial nor disrespectful; I am a very calm, cool and collected person. It is just that I love to joke and I joke a lot,” he said.

“Until you step on my tail, we will be cool but if you do, you will get the same reaction you will get, should you step on the tail of a sleeping lion. I will wake up and defend myself,” he added.

When Bola asked how he feels about all those negative tags and how he deals with them, he said; “I only go to my room, take my Bible, go on my knees in prayer and I ask God to forgive all those people.”

“At other times, I just read and laugh at such comments,” he noted.
