For all the naysayers who have been touting that, songstress, Mzbel, had taken some gargantuan amount of money to hold the ‘JMToaso’ concert – she repudiates such assertions and divulges her real intentions behind the concert – believe it or not!
As monitored by Entertainmentgh.com, Mzbel told Amanda Jissih on GhOne’s ‘E-Talk’ that, she took no money for the organization of the concert, which comes off this Saturday at Bukom Square, in Accra.
She also stated categorically, that her move to stage the concert is not in anticipation of a V8 (car) from the President and the ruling party.
“I had no money and I am also not expecting a V8,” she said.
The ‘Mmo’ singer, explained that, she realized that so many ‘underground’ acts were doing songs on the many developments being championed by President John Mahama and she deemed it appropriate to hold such a concert for these guys to showcase their craft.
She is not expecting a luxurious car for her efforts, however, she has a well-thought-out plan should the show become successful.
Hear her; ” If the show turns out successfully, I will make a claim for the establishment of radio and television station that will screen only Ghanaian songs and music videos.”
On the impasse being generated by disgruntled musician, Article Wan, over the use of his photos on the event poster without his permission – Mzbel offered some explanation and brushed it off.
” The show will come on with or without Article Wan,” she emphasized.
