Whilst Appietus, Gyedu Blay Ambulley, Dasebre Dwamena and many others are running to pick their forms to contest for MUSIGA president, Okyeame Kwame says he is not interested.
The rapper in an interview with Hitz FM said he is not ready to risk the brand he has created for long looking at how musicians have been treating Obour for the past years.
“About six years ago, Diana Hopson was very hopeful that one day I will become MUSIGA president because she thinks that I will be a good leader for musicians but personally, it is not something that I eye.”
The rapper who recently released “Mere Twen Wo” continued that “my consciousness will not allow me. Look at what the musicians are doing to Obour.
“You think that I will build a brand and lead people only that they will do that to me?” he asked.
He made it point blank that “I’m not interested and I have never been interested. I think it is a scary thing to do”
The multiple award-winning rapper hurriedly added that “I can change my mind tomorrow but currently, I am not interested at all”
MUSIGA election comes off on October 29 this year at the Eastern Regional capital, Koforidua.
