Maxwell Mawu Mensah, the husband of celebrated actress, Nana Ama Mcbrown, has fired back at critics who accused him of not talking or smiling each time he is seen in public with his wife.

The critics had suggested that Maxwell was being forced by Nana Ama to appear with her in public even though he did not want to.

They also claimed that Nana Ama was forcing herself on her husband.

Nana Ama had earlier addressed the criticism with an explanation that her husband was a shy person, who was not expressive in public.

At an event to mark the 20th issue of Glitz Magazine in Accra, Maxwell addressed the critics personally after being prompted by his wife, stressing that he could not be talking and smiling in public for no reason.

"When I 'm walking, I should just be talking for no reason?", he asked in Twi.

Maxwell suggested that he could not be talking and smiling in public for no apparent reason because he was not mentally deranged.

Nana Ama and her husband got married in 2016 after dating for several years. The two were involved in an accident in 2013, which landed them in the hospital.

They both however made a full recovery and tied the knot three years later.
