Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr, popularly known as Shatta Wale, says it is time for him to start behaving like a father for the sake of his son, Majesty.

According to the CEO of the Shatta Movement, he is rebranding to change the public perception about him and prove to Ghanaians that he is not rowdy or a “thug” as he has often been described by a section of the public.

“I feel I am a father now and I need to behave like one,” Shatta Wale told Bola Ray and Anita Erskine on the Starr Drive Thursday.

Shatta Wale welcomed his baby boy on July 12, 2015 with a tweet saying, "Today God gave me a bouncy baby boy and on this same day I won a trophy... who is greater than God.”

Shatta shook the Ghanaian music scene for some years and faced anyone who disagreed with his actions directly. This has brought about grudges between him and some of his closest allies and some artistes in the music industry.

To patch up the differences he has with some of these artistes, especially popular Dancehall artiste Samini, Shatta Wale said he is ready to meet the ‘Linda’ hitmaker and render an apology in person.

He also said he wants to make up with Charter House so they can start working together.
