Media personality and marriage counselor, Maame Yeboah Asiedu, has revisited and opened up again about her divorce.
According to her, she never thought, nor would she have believed, that she would be divorced or go through a divorce.
Explaining her ordeal in an interview published on the Instagram page of Marigyata, Maame Yeboah, who is a staunch advocate against divorce, explained that she never thought she would be divorced because she is highly against it and would never initiate such a process.
However, the thoughts of man are not those of God.
“If I thought that I would ever be divorced, then I would be lying to you because anyone who knows me is aware that I am very much against divorce, and it is not in my plans.
“But, as the saying goes, the thoughts of man are many, but the will of God is what will be established. We can always plan and plot, but the word and will of God are what will be established.
“I never thought I would be divorced, but I was divorced,” Maame Yeboah explained.
In an earlier interview, Maame Yeboah revealed that the decision to divorce her previous husband after almost 20 years of marriage stemmed from the man's action to annul the marriage in court, which she did not agree with.
However, she could not do anything to salvage the situation.
In the same interview, she rebuffed claims made by some members of the public that she does not practice what she preaches as a counselor after speaking vehemently against divorce, citing that it was not her decision to divorce.
