Rapper and songwriter, Okyeame Kwame says he is no more focusing on directly producing music but now interested in championing development for his people.

According to him, the days of producing music for people to dance has passed because he has no interest in that anymore.

Speaking in an interview with Kumasi based radio Light Fm monitored by MyNewsGh.com, on why he is no more making hits songs as he used to, the Rap Doctor responded “I still do what I have been doing. The only thing is that, (in the early 2000s) I was young and didn’t have many responsibilities. I didn’t plan to do music for development. The focus was directly on producing music. But now, I just don’t want to make music for people to dance to. Today, after doing my music I want to spend half the time promoting development”, Okyeame Kwame revealed.

Okyeame Kwame undoubtedly is one of the few Ghanaian artistes who are using their talent in changing lives and developing their people.

The songwriter through music is now helping immensely in the fight to eradicate breast cancer and Hepatitis B among people in the country.

He has however been able to promote the culture heritage of the Ghanaian society through his music videos and other stage performances.
