Nigerian singer Chidozie Ugochinyere, better known as Fave, has opened up about a unique childhood experience, revealing that she once dated her choirmaster when she was just 10 years old.
In a candid conversation with her colleagues, the 'Baby Riddim' hitmaker explained that they were both part of the children's choir and were in the same age group.
"He was the choirmaster. It was the children’s choir, so we were all kind of like kids. We would do this midnight thing where he would call, and it was just cute," recounted the 24-year-old singer.
Fave also shared introspective thoughts about her sexuality, expressing curiosity and acknowledging that she has uncertainties.
"I have questions about my sexuality; I'm curious. Isn't it normal to be curious? If you're not curious, then maybe that's the issue," she added.
Fave ventured into the music industry in 2019 and quickly made her mark.
In January 2022, she launched her debut EP, "Riddim 5," showcasing her musical prowess. Collaborating with renowned artistes in Nigeria, she has released several singles and continues to make waves in the industry.
She is also a co-owner of the record label Tumblar, where she is currently signed.
Fave's passion for music ignited at the age of six, performing and composing at various school events.
She launched her professional career with the release of her debut single, "M.O.M.M.S. (Me or Mask My Sins)," in 2019. Her breakthrough moment arrived with a freestyle performance over a beat by Jinmi Abduls. In April 2020, Fave marked her official debut with the track "N.B.U. (Nobody But U)."
