Fasting rising Ghanaian singer, Beeztrap KOTM, has revealed why he does not do rap.

According to him, he quit rapping because he could not tongue-twist.

Answering a question posed to him about whether he considers himself a rapper, the singer revealed that he had to quit rapping because of his tongue.

He explained that he is a slow talker, and his tongue does not allow him to tongue-twist or recite lyrics at a fast pace to musical beats like most rappers can.

“I don’t want to box myself in a genre of music because I can do all, but I don’t consider myself a rapper. I had to quit rapping because of my tongue. Those days I used to rap, anytime I tried tongue-twisting, I realized I was making errors and it was very difficult for me. So, I stopped. I can’t talk fast so I used to miss words. So, I am sticking to just singing,” Beeztrap KOTM told Delay on the Delay Show.

Talking about, who inspires him when it comes to singing in the Ghana music industry, he named Mugeez of R2Bees as his favorite singer and mentor.

He said, “Growing up, my mentor in music has always been a Ghanaian. I admire and use to listen to Mugeez a lot. I used to listen to him and learn from him a lot. In fact, I still listen to his music to date. ”
