I stood for the talented youth of Ghana at UN summit – Becca

Becca Becca

Ghana’s sensational songstress, Becca says her appearance at the recently held UN Summit was an opportunity to sell the country’s talented young population.

Becca, who has since returned home and promoting a new single titled ‘Hw3’ says her inclusion was a bold statement for the Ghanaian youth.

“I think there are so many beautiful talents here in Ghana, and they need to be showcased out there for investors to know the unique arts of Africa, particularly Ghana.

I had the chance to meet Richard Branson personally and I interacted with him on the fact that, we have diverse talent pool in Ghana which they can likewise invest in. Ghanaian youth needs the extensive international exposure to remain relevant in the industry,” she told Fiifi Banson on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.3 FM Friday.

Prior to her appearance at the Central Park concert, on September 26, Becca joined a lineup of top performers at an exclusive event for Richard Branson’s Virgin Unite Foundation.

The event, a UN Summit on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) was attended by some of the most powerful citizens on earth.

Becca was the only African artiste to be at the opening press conference alongside the CEOs of Ericsson CEO, and Wikipedia.

She also performed at the Virgin Charity Cocktail event and also mounted the stage of the Global Citizens Concert.
