Ghanaian songstress Sister Derby has said she supports government’s move in making Accra the neatest city in Africa.

According to the ‘Borla’ hit maker, people still litter around indiscriminately and was happy the president has pledged to reverse the situation to make Accra attractive.

Speaking with KOD on the Zone, the ‘Uncle Obama’ singer said “the kind of issues we have in the country right now we can’t blame everything on the president or government.”

She added: “We as people we are giving reasons why there is flooding, there are things like that. And we also don’t contribute or help.”

According to the singer, Ghanaians do not contribute in helping solve the problem of filth.

Nana Akufo-Addo has pledged to make Accra the neatest and best city in Africa by the end of his first term in office after being installed as a chief by the people of Jamestown and the Ngleshie Alata Traditional council under the title Nii Kwaku Abladey Okudzeaman I.

According to the president, the beauty of the national capital had deteriorated over the years as a result of various human activities that had destroyed the once glorious city.
