Ghanaian Afrobeats star Camidoh has opened up about his recent heartbreak, which inspired his latest song “NLF” (Nothing Lasts Forever).

During an interview on Hitz FM on June 18, 2024, Camidoh reflected on his past relationship. He admitted that he had been overly confident and believed it would be eternal.

“Basically, we fell out, but I held onto the idea that it would last forever.

“I became too sure of myself. I was living in a fantasy world,” he said.

The ‘Sugarcane’ hitmaker revealed that this experience helped him realize that relationships can end for various reasons and that separation is sometimes unavoidable.

“I felt like God gave me a reality check. I had to accept that things might not work out. If we don't break up due to a misunderstanding, we could still end up apart at some point.

“When you understand the inevitability of death, you realize that even though I'm with this person, anything can happen, and one of us may lose the other,” he said.

He expressed that he is now better prepared to handle future relationships, saying, “If I marry someone in the future and it doesn't work out, I won't be as devastated as I was,” he said.
