Ghanaian media personality Bridget Otoo has raised concerns about a recent digitalization statement made by the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia during one of his campaign tours.
In a post shared via X (formerly Twitter) on November 4, 2024, the outspoken journalist lamented about the economic hardship in the country.
Bridget insisted that commodities are expensive due to high inflation in the country.
"I thought we were already in a cashless economy? There’s no money in people’s pockets, things are expensive.
"Businesses have collapsed, investments depleted, and others stolen by your government," she asked.
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, on November 3, 2024, in one of his rallies, indicated that he would like to bring Ghana closer to a cashless economy in the shortest possible time if elected in the upcoming polls.
