Ghanaian actress and film producer Juliet Ibrahim has revealed that she has always wanted to be in the spotlight.
“I’ve always wanted to be a superstar”, she said. “I wanted to be in the spotlight but I thought it will be through singing or modelling; I didn’t know I will make it through acting,” Juliet said on Ayekoo Ayekoo on Accra 100.5FM on Wednesday, 14 August 2019.
Asked how she got into acting, the award-winning actress said she saw an opportunity to make her dream come true after she was given the lead role in her first movie titled “Crime to Christ”.
She explained that she got an invitation to audition for the role after she had won a beauty pageant at the Ghana Institute of Languages.
“So, when the opportunity came up and I got a lead role, I felt like it was God’s calling; l felt probably that’s how I was going to be – a superstar – so, I just jumped for it,” she told host Nana Romeo.
Juliet was on the Ayekoo Ayekoo show to promote her book titled: ‘A Toast to Life’.
The book is Juliet’s memoirs that mainly centres around survival, relationships, single parenthood, and starting afresh.
