Ace Ghanaian broadcaster Tommy Annan Forson has revealed he wanted to be a mechanic before he landed a job as a broadcaster.
Speaking on Starr Chat with Bola Ray Wednesday, Mr. Forson said “I would say that it was by accident because I had studied how to become a mechanic, I wanted to own a workshop.”
According to the ace broadcaster, he was motivated by one Robert Owusu who saw what he [Tommy Annan Forson] did at Babylon – a night club – who motivated him to apply to the Ghana broadcasting corporation.
“Radio is a job of talent,” Mr Forson said, adding “I will doff my heart to my late director of radio Felix Agyafan, he did a lot, and I think he was one person who realized that…radio is a job of talent, if you doing administrating stuff and stuff like that you will probably want the certificate,” he added.
“I started radio as a guest artist, I was then doing a variety as an mc introducing guests and stuff like that, and he realized I spoke well, I had a command over whatever program I was doing,” he noted.
