Ghanaian award winning movie star, Nana Ama McBrown, renowned for her diverse roles in Kumawood movies, has revealed she wanted to make football a profession at a point in her life after playing it professionally for a few years, but later took to acting after her father convinced her.
In a car pool interview with Jessica Saforo-Opare, on the final episode of Beta Malt ‘On the Go’, Nana Ama Mac-Brown stated that her short career in football saw her play with some good women’ teams.
“I stated playing football because I wanted to make ends meet. I wanted to make football a profession. After years in football, I remember I played for Kotoko, I also came to play for Bruna Ladies in Tema which was formerly GHAPOHA ladies.” she said.
Nana Ama also talked about her acting career and marriage. The season’s finale of Beta Malt “On the Go” also featured award-winning dancehall and reggae star, Samini, as he talked of his ambition to be president in the future, he also touched on the ongoing feud between him and other artistes.
