I was attacked for singing Onaapo for John Mahama - Dee Aja

A National Democratic Congress (NDC) fanatic and musician David Aja popularly known as‘’Onaapo’ has revealed he was attacked and abused for singing Onaapo to support John Mahama during the 2016 elections.

Speaking to Sammy Flex on Showbiz Agenda on Zylofon 102.1 FM on Tuesday, February 6,2018, the Onaapo hitmaker disclosed how he was chased and attacked by some people at home after NDC lost the 2016 general elections.

Dee Aja who two months ago disclosed to ghanacrusader.com his plan to feature Ghana’s self acclaimed dancehall king, Shatta Wale, should he remix “Onaapo” recounted how some young men chased him out of his house a day after the declaration of the 2016 elections and also narrated how on another occasion he was verbally abused and assaulted at Abossey okai, a suburb in Accra.

The Onaapo song was the official campaign song for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) prior to the 2016 Presidential and Parliamentary elections. It was arguably the most popular song in the year, 2016.
