Ghanaian TikToker, Obaa Cee, has shared insights into why she did not continue her education beyond Junior High School (JHS), despite acknowledging the importance of education.
She disclosed that her defiant nature made it difficult for her to enjoy her schooling experience, leading to a loss of interest in her studies.
Obaa Cee admitted to being stubborn, often engaging in confrontations with her teachers and peers over disagreements.
Although she completed JHS, she chose not to take the examination that would have enabled her to advance to secondary school.
In a conversation with Deloris Frimpong Manso on The Delay Show, which was monitored by GhanaWeb, Obaa Cee elaborated on how her rebellious behavior impacted her educational journey.
"I come from a family of five siblings, and I'm the fourth child. Among the girls, I was the only one who didn't pursue further education. Life was tough, and I didn't get along with my teachers either.
"To be honest, I caused a lot of trouble; I was very combative and ended up fighting with them, so they [teachers] didn't want me in their classes. I only went to school on Mondays and Tuesdays, spending the rest of the week trading. I completed JHS 3 but didn't sit for any exams," she explained in Twi.
