Veteran gospel musician cum fashion designer, Ophelia Nyantakyi now known as Abena Serwaa Ophelia has said her outfit which formed part of her brand as musician had section of the public bashing her for the wrong reason.

She claimed people did not know her to be a fashion designer yet labelled her with all sort of names.

“People use to say I’m a marine goddess due to the styles I wore to shoot my music videos. I wept because I didn’t understand showbiz and how you can be criticized for what ever you do, say or wear.

“Majority of people are of the view that wearing gowns and putting on scarf as a gospel musician qualify you to be holy but that is not it, you need to look good in your own way.” Abena Serwaa Ophelia told Kojo Preko Dankwa on Kasapa Entertainment on Kasapa 102.5FM
According to her being a gospel musician requires a total commitment to God and also being prayerful.

The mother of four who recently celebrated 20 years in the gospel music industry with an impressive musical career has touched hearts with her songs.

Ophelia Nyantakyi now known as Abena Serwaa Ophelia was married to Collins Nyantakyi but got divorced in the year 2010.
