Singer, songwriter, producer and dancer Eugene Baah known professionally as Kuami Eugene has dispelled reports that he is a school dropout.

The ‘Angela’ hitmaker speaking on Celebrity Ride With Zionfelix show on Angel TV was not happy about news which suggested that he was expelled from Salvation Army Senior High School located in Akim-Wenchi, about 9km off Akim-Oda Ofoase road.

Kuami Eugene during the chat with the show host, Zionfelix refuted the publication and made it clear that there is no iota of truth in it.

Explaining the possible cause of the false publication, the singer revealed that he was de-bordinized when he was a second-year student of the school so he believes that gave rise to the mistaken impression.

Detailing why he was made a day student at Salvation Army Senior High School, Mr. Baah again disclosed that the school’s photographer captured him when he went out of campus to perform at a festival without an exeat.

This move by the school authorities he said angered his mother to change institution for him. He added that his mother later enrolled him at a school in Accra so that she could keep an eye on him since he had so much passion for music than education.

The young artiste, who grew up in the environs of Fadama, a suburb of Accra said he continued to Ghana Telecom University after high school in Accra so news that he did not complete senior high school is false.

The Lynx Entertainment signee was reported to have said in September 2017 on Joy FM that “I wasted some time of my life to be able to learn how to produce and write my own music when there is no one to do it for me. For two months I stayed in a faraway place in the Eastern Region in the studio of a music producer who saw potential in me without the knowledge of my mother neither that of the school’s authority.

“My mother got to know about it when I was expelled from school. Today, I have been able to achieve a lot because of that sacrifice I made and my Mum is very happy,”
