TV and radio presenter Deloris Frimpong-Manson has shared her success story as an entertainer.

The controversial media mogul on her Facebook page late Sunday said she lost her mother in 2013 but that did not kill her dream after going into hiding for two tears.

In the post, she narrated how she started her career and added that people labelled her as an ugly and bush girl when she entered the entertainment industry but that did not discourage her. Delay revealed that she has over 35 employees.

The only thing you start from the top is when you’re digging a grave. I started as a presenter at life FM in NKawkaw when I was only seventeen in 1999. I used to be called Frimpomaa on radio then. When my mum died in in 2003 I gave up on my dream for some 2 years and went back into radio in 2005-6 when top radio came back on air.

Got on presenters guide in 2007 and was hired by Oman FM that year. Got replaced on Onie after just 8 episode.

I was crushed but kept it to myself and went back to the drawing table… Came up with the Delay show which was first aired on the 4th of April the following year and Smooch too.

Afia Schwarzenegger came on in 2011, Delay Mackerel in 2012 and in 2015 after taking some 2 years to make this brands even stronger, I did the Delay tomato paste and Delay Sardines. You see, I am an orphan who was left with two sibling to cater for and no money, support or hope. When I came into this industry I was labeled “not beautiful enough, bush amongst other demeaning tags”…

But that didn’t stop me.. Today I’ve employed over 35 workers some with families and we are still on it. And I am more than excited as I get ready to introduce COCOA BROWN. Thank you dearly Miss Jay @smoochgh and @niihalifax . Doesn’t matter where you are today!!!
