I went into coma for 8 hours – Brother Sammy speaks after accident

Gospel musician Brother Sammy who had an accident on Saturday, April 2 has narrated how the unfortunate incident happened unexpectedly and unintentionally when driving to Sefwi-Wiawso in the Western Region. The worshiper in an interview with Zionfelix.com Monday morning disclosed that he went into coma from 9 AM when the accident happen till 6 in the evening.

Giving account of how the catastrophe happened, he said “ I was traveling to Sefwi-Wiawso in Western Region for a show. Whilst driving, I appeared on a sharp curve but unknowingly, a car was parked there. When I planned to overtake it, I saw a car also fast approaching.’

He continued that “there were many people in the car approaching so I knew people would die if we collide. I then applied the break instantly which made the car somersault into a ditch by the roadside.”

“I went into coma. When I woke up, I was at the hospital. I woke up at 6pm and the accident happened at 9 in the morning”, he told Zionfelix.com

He added that his manager, organist and trumpeter who were with him in the Toyota Highlander also suffered serious injuries. Brother Sammy who was discharged from the hospital on Saturday said he is recovering but he still has bandages on his hand and head.

The gospel artiste known for his powerful worship ministration is organising “M’aseda” concert, a thanksgiving event on April 24 at Bantama Assemblies of God in Kumasi.
