Actor, script writer and film director of Ghanaian descent, Eddie Nartey has disclosed he will choose film over stage play because the former pays better.

Speaking to Amanda Jissih on E Talk, Eddie Nartey also revealed stage takes more time than films.

“I’m too busy for stage. You can do a movie in just one week but for stage, you have to do rehearsals and the discipline of stage is totally different but I must confess it doesn’t pay well”

He however commended Uncle Ebo Whyte and his Roverman productions for their consistency and holding a great forth in Ghana.

“Uncle Ebo Whyte and production are doing so well. I think they are doing something right because he gets a lot of audience and I think he pays well.”

Asked if he would let go movies should stage pay well, Eddie Nartey revealed he won’t let go movies since it opens more doors for learning.

“Passion-wise and discipline, the stage is lovely but I don’t think I can stop directing, I can let go of may be acting but not directing. I love it so much so to talk about film and stage, I definitely will choose film over stage because it opens more doors in terms of learning etc”

Eddie Nartey recently premiered a self-directed movie titled ‘Beautiful Ruins’ which stars Christabel Ekeh, John Dumelo and many others.
